Feminist Fridays is a feminist group of KP Women activists formed in 2016 with the objectives to form strong knowledge based among young feminists, reclaim public spaces and reinforce right to entertainment and forward women empowerment agenda by elimination of gender based violence through enactment of pro women laws.The group consists of 63 members in total with women from diverse professions including Civil Society Activists, Lawyers, Journalists, Doctors, and political workers. Feminist Fridays with the support of OXFAM and Aurat Foundation has engaged its members in developing their strategic plan and developing strong linkages with Social Welfare Department to develop capacity of staff of Darul Amans on SOPs, strengthen knowledge base of its members through exposure visits to parliament and provincial assembly and engaging media to highlight the issues.FF has strong linkages with CSOs and TAQ (Group of strong women from NMDs), Working Women Alliance, Peshawar University, Women Writers forum, Peshawar Press Club and WAF and government department such as KPCSW, Social Welfare, and Women parliamentary Caucus.
